State of the Race

Voters will see on Cleveland broadcast positive messaging about Max Miller and how he fights for Ohio’s working families, small businesses, and veterans. They will also see on cable and streaming that Brian Poindexter is backed by Bernie Sanders and will vote for socialist policies that hurt Ohio.

Voters need to see on Cleveland broadcast, cable, and CTV that Brian Poindexter has a long criminal record, including charges for drug possession, vandalism and assault, at least five separate warrants issued for his arrest, and time spent in jail.

They also need to see that he is part of Bernie Sanders’ Socialist movement and would rubber-stamp far-left Democrat policies in D.C. Poindexter has attacked federal law enforcement like ICE, saying cops are “killing people in the streets.” Endorsed by socialist Bernie Sanders, Poindexter is calling for higher taxes, demanding one of the largest payroll tax increases in history, and endorsing a brand new annual wealth tax while Ohio families are already struggling. Brian Poindexter is too extreme and can’t be trusted.

Max Miller served our country as a United States Marine. Now he’s fighting for Ohio’s veterans in Congress, working to expand veterans’ access to health care and cut the VA red tape that delays the benefits they earned.

In Congress, Max Miller is also fighting to lower the cost of prescription drugs and he supports the plan that forces drug companies to charge Americans the same low prices they charge overseas, and that dozens of medications have already been negotiated at lower prices. Congressman Miller is fighting to keep health care costs low for Ohio families and he voted for bipartisan legislation protecting the health care tax credits that keep monthly insurance premiums affordable for working Ohioans.

A native of Northeast Ohio, Max received his bachelor’s degree from Cleveland State University before joining the United States Marine Corps Reserves. Max has a two year old daughter, Rosie.
