Voters will be reminded of Mayra’s story and background, reinforcing that she is one of us, not a career politician. Voters will then be informed what Mayra believes and how that contrasts with what Gonzalez has done. In particular voters will be told about how Gonzalez’s partisan rubber stamp voting record has caused the high cost of goods and the border/crime/safety issue. Finally, voters will hear how Mayra will be better than Gonzalez on the cost of living and the border/crime/saftey crisis.

Mayra Flores is a first generation American citizen who’s family immigrated from Burgos, Tamaulipas, Mexico when she was six years old. She understands that the American Dream requires safe streets, excellent schools, and access to quality healthcare.
Mayra Flores was on the front lines of the COVID-19 pandemic as a respiratory care practitioner. As a healthcare worker, Mayra understands how critical it is for people to have access to the care they need. In Congress, she will fight to protect health insurance for people with pre-existing conditions.
As the wife of a Border Patrol agent, Mayra Flores knows the importance of making sure law enforcement is well trained and supported. In Congress, Flores will fully fund Border Patrol and give them the resources necessary to protect our communities.
Mayra has a plan to stop inflation, and lower the cost of living including groceries, rent, and mortgages.
