Voters are hearing from the Valadao campaign that as a Visalia school board member, Villegas voted for an $8 million settlement given to a victim of sexual abuse to quote, “keep the community in the dark forever.” The perpetrator in this case was previously fired from the school district for quote, “very serious misconduct” but was re-hired by the school district, nonetheless.

Voters will be reminded that David Valadao is an independent problem solver for the Central Valley who has fought to lower the cost of gas, advocate for our water, and protect Medicaid and Medicare.

Villegas wants to ban all oil and gas production which would kill thousands of local jobs, cause our monthly energy bills to skyrocket, and make us even more dependent on foreign countries for our energy.

In Congress, Villegas would have voted to raise taxes on middle-income workers by over $365 per month, tax overtime pay and jack up taxes on waiters and hairstylists by over $1,400 per year.

David Valadao was born and raised in Hanford, California and is a lifelong resident of the Central Valley. He works on the family farm which consists of two dairies as well as farmland in Kings County, on which they grow alfalfa, almonds, corn, and wheat. Valadao has taken on leadership roles within the California Milk Advisory Board, Western States Dairy Trade Association, and served as the Regional Leadership Council Chairman for Land O’ Lakes, Inc.
