  • The Covid-19 pandemic has spawned a mental health crisis in the country. As Dutchess County Executive, Marc Molinaro created the first 24/7 mental health stability center for local residents. It is a model for providing mental services that is being copied across the country. 
  • As Dutchess County Executive, Marc Molinaro has been a pioneer in developing programs to help improve the quality of life for those with special needs. As a father, the cause is personal to Marc whose daughter is on the autism spectrum. 
  • Marc Molinaro grew up in a working-class family and recalls watching his single mother apply for food stamps and be treated with disrespect by county workers. The incident set Marc on a path to public service, and decades later when he became County Executive, Molinaro made government accountable to the people it serves. 
  • Marc Molinaro knows how to make government work without burdening taxpayers. As Dutchess County Executive, Molinaro cut county taxes for 9 straight years and balanced the county budget by controlling spending. He was the first county official in New York to cut and cap the gas tax.
