Kevin Lincoln is the grandson of a Mexican immigrant and a Marine veteran who currently serves as the Mayor of Stockton, the largest city in California’s 9th Congressional district.
Born and raised in Stockton, Kevin embodies the heart of his community and has dedicated his life to serving the Valley and his country.
In 2001, Kevin joined the United States Marine Corps (USMC) and began training at the military police academy. He was later recruited by the White House Military Office and assigned to Marine One, where he would serve the President of the United States.
In 2019, when Kevin saw his hometown struggling, he felt compelled to step up and run for Mayor to continue his service in Stockton.
As Mayor, Kevin made progress tackling Stockton’s homelessness crisis by delivering resources for housing, mental health and drug treatment. Lincoln’s own father was homeless which prompted Lincoln to enter public service to help others experiencing economic hardship.
The Stockton Police Officer’s Association endorsed Kevin for Congress because they know firsthand he has fought as Mayor to help keep Stockton safe. While there is more work to be done, Kevin led safety initiatives that helped reduce violent crime.
Kevin and his wife Bonnie are blessed with two children who they raised in Stockton.
