Open Borders

Emilia Sykes voted against a bill which would strengthen border security by hiring up to twenty-two thousand border agents as well as investing in additional technology and physical barriers to prevent the overrun of our southern border.

Emilia Sykes is spending American citizens’ tax dollars on illegal immigrants. She supported giving billions of dollars in tax breaks to illegal immigrants and even allowed them to use American schools and national parks as shelters.

Emilia Sykes became minority leader in Ohio after cutting a deal with Larry Householder that allowed him to become Speaker. Householder was later expelled from office and indicted for a sixty-one-million-dollar bribery scandal, which involved a company who also gave thousands to Sykes’ campaign.

Making Bail Changes

Emilia Sykes co-sponsored a bill in Ohio to radically change the bail system, which would allow for the release of violent criminal defendants back on the street before trial.

Emilia Sykes is more focused on her extremist backers than everyday Ohio voters. Sykes voted with radicals in Washington to ban the sale of gas-powered cars.

Kevin Coughlin is running to defend the American Dream because he lived it. Kevin was raised by a single mom and his grandparents who struggled to make ends meet. Working minimum wage, Coughlin lived paycheck to paycheck and worked his way through college before eventually starting his own business to provide for his wife and two daughters. Kevin Coughlin wrote and passed the bills that created Ohio’s Amber Alert System, protected victims of domestic violence, and helped sheriffs protect communities from sex offenders. In Congress, Kevin will support law enforcement and first responders to protect children, victims of violent crime and keep our communities safe.

Kevin Coughlin has never been afraid to stand up to leaders of either party to do what’s right for Ohio families. In the state legislature, Kevin bucked the political elites in both parties to stop the biggest tax increase in Ohio history. In Congress, Kevin will stand up for what’s right, not follow the party line.

The Biden administration’s open borders are allowing drug cartels and human smugglers to flood into the country, bringing illicit drugs and crime into our communities, and opening us up to the risk of terrorism. Kevin Coughlin will work to secure the border and make sure illegal immigrants who commit a crime can’t escape justice.
