Voter Registration Deadline  10/24/2022
Early In-Person Voting  As soon as ballots are ready, voters can request, receive, vote and cast their mail-in or absentee ballot all in one visit to the county election board or other officially designated site. We anticipate that to happen on/around 09/22/22.
Absentee Voting by Mail  Begins around 09/22/2022
AB Request Deadline  11/01/2022; 5:00PM
AB Deadline Return  11/08/2022 – Last day for County Boards of Elections to receive voted mail-in and civilian absentee ballots (must be received by 8:00 P.M.)
AB Deadline Return (Military/Overseas)  11/15/22 – Last day for County Board of Elections to receive voted military and overseas absentee ballots (submitted for delivery no later than 11:59 P.M. on November 7)

Note: In Pennsylvania, you have two options for mail ballots.

  • Mail-in ballot – Any qualified voter may apply for a mail-in ballot. You may simply request this ballot without a reason.
  • Absentee ballot – If you plan to be out of the municipality on election day or if you have a disability or illness that prevents you from going to your polling place on election day, you can request this ballot type, which still requires you to list a reason for your ballot.

Shaffer for Congress
  • Jeremy Shaffer thinks Washington is broken and politicians put their personal interests and party ahead of the American people. He wants to put partisanship aside and bring people together to solve the big problems that America is facing.
  • Jeremy Shaffer is an engineer not a career politician. He thinks career politicians are the problem with Washington. He is a political outsider running for congress to bring common sense problem solving to Washington D.C.

Jeremy is a proven leader in business and his community. Jeremy married his high school classmate and prom date Stacey. They have been blessed with five children born and raised here in Western Pennsylvania. Jeremy is passionate about working to make our community and country even better. Jeremy earned a Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Carnegie Mellon while his wife, Stacey, completed her Medical Residency and Fellowship at the University of Pittsburgh.

A problem-solver and entrepreneur at heart, while at Carnegie Mellon, Jeremy co-founded a company committed to improving our crumbling roads and bridges. As a small business owner, Jeremy understands the importance and challenges of dealing with government regulations and taxes while growing revenue and managing personnel.

As a Ross Township Commissioner and Board President, Jeremy was a common-sense voice that fought for taxpayers and led the fight for reforms. Jeremy also served his community as a Northland Library Foundation Board member, Northern Tier Library Board Member, founder of Walk/Bike Ross, and coach on numerous youth sports teams. Jeremy is also a man of faith and is active in his local church having served as both an elder and a deacon previously. Above all, Jeremy wants to ensure that our great country continues to provide an abundance of opportunities for future generations. In his free time, Jeremy enjoys the wonderful Western Pennsylvania outdoors with biking, running, and hiking.
