Starting in mid-July, voters in the Corpus Christi and Harlingen DMA’s will be reintroduced to Rep. De La Cruz, being reminded that she is one of us- a Valley Mom, a fighter who is getting things done. Voters will see modern day farmers, working the fields like Monica’s Abuelo did, then be reminded that Monica put herself through college by working at a dry cleaner, before opening a small business while raising her family. Monica’s story is your story- the American Dream that she is fighting for every day.
- Voter Registration closes October 5th
- Early in-person voting: October 19-30
- Last day to apply for ballot by mail: October 23rd (received, not postmarked)
- Last day for mail in ballot to be counted:
- If envelope is not postmarked, ballot must be received by 7 PM on Election Day
- If postmarked by 7 PM on Election day it may be received until Wednesday Nov. 4th (next business day) at 5 PM

Monica De La Cruz grew up in the Rio Grande Valley in the border town of Brownsville, TX. Monica and her brother were raised by a single Mom, Norma Alicia. She had a simple life that was built around faith, hard work and family. Her mother raised her with a strong love of country as her grandfather served in the Navy in WWII.
Monica put herself through college while working and graduated from the University of Texas at San Antonio with a BBA in Marketing. Monica owns three successful small businesses and she is the examples of the American Dream.
- MDLC is a working-class mom who knows the burden of high prices, she is fighting every day in Congress to lower the cost of gas, groceries, housing & healthcare.
- MDLC believes lower taxes help families and businesses succeed. She supported tax cuts on tips, overtime, & Social Security, so working families keep more of what they earn providing families up to nearly $11,000 in additional take home pay each year.
- MDLC supports banning biological boys from playing in girls’ sports because she believes every daughter deserves a fair playing field. She will protect minors from the woke left’s radical agenda and vote to ban sex changes for minors.
