STATE OF RACE

Voters are learning from the Mackenzie campaign, in both English and Spanish, the truth about Bob Brooks and his character. Brooks screwed over his own family and left them paying the price. The case is simple: if Bob Brooks can’t be trusted to look out for his own family, voters can’t trust him to look out for theirs.

Voters are also learning from the Mackenzie campaign about Ryan Mackenzie and the kind of fighter he is for them. Whether it’s taking on big insurance companies and greedy corporations, protecting Social Security and Medicare, or fighting to lower costs for working families, Mackenzie has shown he is tough enough to take on powerful interests and will always stand up for the people he represents. The contrast is clear: Bob Brooks looks out for himself; Ryan Mackenzie fights for you and your family.

  • Absentee ballots are for: voters who plan to be out of their municipality on Election Day or voters who have a disability or illness that prevents them from going to a polling place on Election Day.
  • Vote By Mail On Demand: Voters can go to their county elections office and on the same day – request and return a mail-in ballot.

Ryan Mackenzie stands up to big corporations to protect working Americans. In office, he’s taken on big insurance companies to help reduce prescription drug costs, sponsored a law that closed corporate tax loopholes, and voted to limit bank overdraft fees.

Ryan Mackenzie helped lead the successful fight for a larger increase in funding for Medicare Advantage, protecting the health coverage that many seniors rely on.

Ryan Mackenzie voted to eliminate taxes on Social Security benefits for those who depend on it and kept his promise to seniors by never voting to change or cut Social Security or Medicare benefits.

In his fight to make everyday life more affordable, Ryan Mackenzie has never voted for an income tax increase, opposed a gas tax increase, eliminated the death tax on family-owned businesses and farms, and won the fight for a larger child tax credit for working families

When big pesticide companies tried to get special treatment from Congress by stopping lawsuits against them if their products cause cancer, Ryan Mackenzie said no. He made sure it didn’t happen, and protected Americans from greedy corporations that put profits before people
